Getting to Calabria

Book an Inspection Tour today and we will do the rest. We will organise your flights, arrange for your airport transfers in Italy, provide you with accommodation in a 5 Star Hotel with meals included and take you daily to see some great properties.  All for an amazing £49 per person.

Alternatively, if you are planning to travel to the area independently, we will be only too pleased to meet up with you locally and take you to see our developments.

Travelling to Calabria has been made much easier now that Ryanair flies directly to Lamezia Terme airport from London Stansted.  Flights currently leave four times a week and depart from Stansted at 06.10, arriving in Calabria at 10.05am.  Lamezia Terme is just over one hours drive from Bianco and the airport has plenty of car hire desks.

There are also trains from Lamezia Terme to Bovalino and Bianco, which take around 2hrs 45 minutes.  The train station at Lamezia is about two kilometres from the airport and taxis are available.

For more information on flights, visit www.ryanair.com and www.sacal.it (for Lamezia airport information) and www.trenitalia.it (for train timetables and online booking).

There is also the option of flying to Rome or Milan with Easyjet, British Airways and Alitalia and getting a connecting Alitalia flight to the region’s capital Reggio di Calabria or to Lamezia Terme.  Check with www.alitalia.com for flight deals.

Other options are flying from the UK to Naples – most low cost UK operators offer this option – and then getting the train to Bovalino and Bianco.

Thomson Holidays also fly from UK airports direct to Lamezia Terme and flight only options are always available.  These are weekly flights, very reasonably priced and ideal for when your holiday home is completed.

As the area increases in popularity with canny UK investors snapping up properties at bargain prices, other low cost flight options will become available, but of course by then, property prices will have increased considerably!

For the purpose of our Inspection Visits, these are generally geared towards flying out from London Stansted. Journeys to and from Stansted to other UK regional airports can usually be achieved using the airport shuttle coaches – we will be happy to advise you.

Calabria, the ‘toe’ of Italy, is an increasingly popular region being visited by growing numbers of Italians and tourists from all over Europe every year. One of the most unspoilt, idyllic areas of Italy, Calabria has near perfect weather all year round and a relaxed, very Italian way of life. The area offers picturesque scenery with rolling pine-covered hills dotted with Medieval hill-top villages; bustling coastal villages and towns fringing unspoilt, natural beaches and the acquamarine waters of the Mediterranean. Currently there is no capital gains tax, no inheritance tax and the wealth tax is only 0.4% of the property value, which all adds up to huge savings on your investment. Like the food they love, the Calabrese people are fiery and warm, open and welcoming. They will adore your children, welcome you into their homes and generally treat you like long lost friends. A little money in Calabria can go a long way! Property Sales. Property for sale
